Matt has been working full time in Radio and Television announcing and management for the past 20 years which has given him a great education in presenting and public speaking. When he’s not busy being a marriage celebrant, he’s the Program Director for both TR FM and Gold 1242, part of the Ace Radio Network in Traralgon, broadcasting across Latrobe City, Wellington Shire and into East Gippsland. He also hosts the Gold 1242 breakfast show Monday to Friday.
The choir was first formed as The Latrobe Valley Voices in 2013 in response to Opera Australia’s Community Partnerships Program. This is in conjunction with Dr Jonathon Welch and the School of Hard Knocks (SoHK).
Sidney Myer Music Bowl Performance
The Latrobe Valley Voices was an arts/community engagement project supported and funded by Latrobe City Council which culminated in a massed choir performance at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with Australian Opera singers and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on 23 November, 2013.
From Latrobe Valley Voices to Latrobe Valley Community Choir
The project was so successful that participants decided to continue as an independent, primarily self-funded group of passionate singers, and in December 2014 they’ve changed their name to Latrobe Valley Community Choir (LVCC).
Latrobe Valley Community Choir and the future
Their aim is to bring people together to make new friends; to enjoy social interaction through a structured choral program and social events, to develop or enhance your singing skills through rehearsals and workshops, and provide opportunities for public performances, and to have fun.
Gippsland Trade Printers
Gippsland Trade Printers is a century old Commercial Printer based at Churchill in the Latrobe Valley. They have been a trade supplier to print distributors and brokers in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Tasmania, Townsville and Adelaide for over 20 years.
Their mission is to become the most reliable and competitive print trade supplier on Australia’s Eastern Seaboard. To help achieve this, they have re-organized their workforce, revised and refocused their job roles to become a truly dedicated trade supplier.
They have created a conviction that as a customer driven service organisation – we must do it the best way every time. The quality of their products and their absolute reliability are the concern of every person in the plant. This process begins with your first enquiry for quotation – and ends only when the product is delivered – in full, on time, at the right place, in good condition, and to the complete satisfaction of those who will ultimately use it.
They have in place the systems to make this happen every time. They look forward to making it happen for you.
